fry bread house - lux

went to fry bread house after saturday my gym. got to take heather, stu, jenny, marina, sydney & cameron. they were having a street fair so it was a bit of an ordeal to get parked & there.

once we got there, we ordered the hominy beef stew special (me), green chile taco x2 (heather & jen), the green chile special (stu), a beef taco (syd & marina) and 3 honey powdered sugar fry breads.

of course the highlights were the fry bread, especially the desert ones. i really love that hominy beef stew too and the fry bread dipped in it goes great. i think jen & heather were a bit let down by their green chile tacos because of the rito factor. basically i don't think you should get green chile anywhere else if you've eaten the rito green chile. it's not fair to the other place. everybody liked it though.

after fry bread house, we traversed over to lux and pane bianco. took a look in pane bianco & everybody thought it was cool. we were all so full that we couldn't do another sandwich. as the market sandwich for that day was a lamb one, people waffled & i was going to go in & get one but they'd run out of lamb & switched to pork.

did the lux thing though. i had a velvet (their name for white mocha) that was great. jen and heather had soy decaf lattes. stu had an espresso and whipped cream. don't remember what that was called. we also all shared a very yummy vanilla cupcake and a piece of chocolate cake.

got the thumbs up from jen & stu too. jen said it was the best coffee she's had in years.

got a special thumbs up from sydney. she tried heather's and stu's and didn't like them. she tried mine & said it's good! better than heather's! better than daddy's! she proceeded to use her spoon and spoon mouthful after mouthful. eventually she tired of that & picked up the cup & drained it. it was hilarious. she probably drank 1/3 of my velvet! :)
